95th Anniversary of Hong Kong Scouting and the centenary of World Scouting, Metropolitan Jamboree 2006

INFORMATION FOR PARTICIPANTS OF METROPOLITAN JAMBOREE 2006
I GENERAL INFORMATION
Date : 26 Dec 2006 to 2 Jan 2007
(The exact time of departure and arrival will be made known later.)
Venue : West Kowloon, Hong Kong
Fee : S$800.00
Deposit : S$500.00
Objective : To instil and develop a strong sense of self-reliance and sensitivity as well as to experience strong international cultural exchanges with the various participating countries.
Availability : Please register and make payment for the jamboree by the 18th Nov 2006. I regret to inform that there will be no extension to this closing date as we need to confirm the air tickets soon. Also, payment not made by 18th Nov 2006 will result in the disqualification of the participant.
II EVENT BRIEFING
Date : 22nd Nov 2006, 7 P.M.
Venue : HQ Programme Room
Details : This briefing is meant to given interested participants a more inside view of the event and as well as to let them know more about all the pre-camp preparations activities.
III SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION
All applications must be submitted to the Singapore Scout Association (SSA) HQ not later than 5pm on 18 Nov 2006. Late submission will not be entertained. Only limited vacancies are available. The following items must be submitted:
• Completed SSA International Overseas Scout Event Application Form duly signed by parents or guardian and Sponsoring Authority’s Endorsement.
• Two passport size photographs in Scout Uniform;
• Deposit Fee.
IV FEE
The fee will cover the following items:
• Air tickets to Hong Kong inclusive of tax;
• Minimal amount of insurance coverage;
• Jamboree Fees
• Accommodation;
• Meals;
• Contingent Badge
• Event Badge;
• Event T-Shirt;
• Identification Tag;
• Certificate of Participation.
