Hi Brother Scouts and Sister Guides,
recently there has been news after news about the approval of girls in scouts. There maybe many concerns or views about this matter and that many would not openly comment on this either. So this platform is created to PEACEFULLY talk about it. So do you think scouting to should open up to girls just like what our neighbouring countries do? And how do you think it will affect the scouting and guiding movement in Singapore? Share your views here.

I believe in status quo and it's quite apparent that the scout HQ is not helping in the souring relation between them and the guide HQ.

Hi,
Personally I believe that both Scouting & Guiding Movement should merge as one international movement, not as 2 different organisation serving both genders each. The new move only duplicates the role of the Guides movement.
It appears that we are trying to replace the Guides with our own Organisation, when it was initially created to complement our movement. I think its time we all work together for the greater good of the Scouting & Guiding ideals, fundamentals, and goals.
However, I don't believe in remaining status quo. Because 100 years ago, there was a need to separate guys and girls. But today, times have changed and we must move with time. Otherwise we will lose our relevance in today's society.
